We had our Camp Good News at Kish Park in Lewistown during the last full week of July. We had a team of nine adults and four teen helpers that volunteered that week. There were 32 kids who registered. What a great week we had! The LORD held off the rain while the kids were at camp, but our land was still watered later during most of the evenings.
The theme for the week was “One Way.”.
· Naaman: One Way to Be Cleansed
· Cain and Abel: One Way to Come to God
· Rahab: One Way to Be Saved
· Jairus’s: One Way to Have Hope
· The Prodigal Son: One Way to Be Forgiven
Each day, Cinda did a wonderful job teaching God’s truth, which caused the children to ask so many great questions. Many made decisions to put their faith in Christ. Our four teens that volunteered added a lot of fun to our music time. You can tell they really practiced the motions for each song. The kids loved it! Thank you, Paiton, Hailey Jadon, and Saige. Thank you to Sandy, James, Joanne, and Cammy, who were our team leaders. I saw so much talent and special qualities in each one of them. Nikki and Sandy had great ideas for our crafts, and Milt taught our older kids the art of archery. I saw improvement in each of them by the end of the week. Also great games by Joe and James. Praise the Lord for a great summer! Many seeds were planted in the hearts of the kids, and we look forward to next year and how the Lord will provide them.
